We’re building something pretty exciting - an AI writing assistant that’s actually built by someone who knows writing (our ceo/product owner is a speechwriter). Not another LLM wrapper, but something specifically designed for serious strategic writing. We’re looking for a senior front-end dev to join our small team and basically own the entire front-end experience. You’d be building sophisticated chat interfaces, complex user flows, and all the tooling writers need to work with AI effectively.
The good stuff:
Fractional to start (20hrs/week), fully remote
$50-100/hour (negotiable)
Direct impact from day one
Small team, fast-moving startup environment
Working directly with actual users (creative writers)
What we need:
4+ years React/Typescript experience
Experience building chat/conversational interfaces
Can handle complex state management and user flows
Portfolio showing clean UI execution
Bonus points for:
Previous LLM/AI interface work
Streaming data experience
Understanding creative workflows
Startup experience
Tech stack is React/TypeScript/Tailwind, integrating with Go/Python backend. Team spans UK/US ET timezones, so you’ll need to handle occasional afternoon UK/morning ET meetings.
