Hello all!
I'm Laura, and I am about to embark on my first fractional role as head of talent development for an asset management firm. I truly don't know what I don't know, so I feel fortunate to be here! I've seen quite a few fractional head of HR and head of recruiting roles (or generalist roles), but frankly, not enough focused on actual talent development. My work spans organizational development, talent management, leadership and manager development, performance management, DEIB, and organizational design, all core components of talent development.
By way of background, I work as an Executive Coach and Leadership Consultant. I have over 15 years of business, consulting, and HR experience focused on helping new leaders become conscious stewards of people and culture. Most recently, I led talent management and served as the internal coach at Flatiron Health (Roche subsidiary) as the company rapidly scaled from 300 to over 1000 people. Before Flatiron Health, I held various HR roles at Citi, including the head of global executive coaching. My earliest career experiences include banking at Citi and consulting at Deloitte.
I start my fractional head of talent development role (20 hours a week) on Monday (hurray!) and will primarily be focused on performance management, talent management, DEIB, and coaching.
In addition to this fractional role, I coach private equity and (some) start-up leaders and advise and consult with an early-stage start-up founder in the coaching and wellness space.
I would love to connect with those who have multiple fractional gigs and/or those in the fractional HR space (in whatever capacity).
I live in NYC and am eager to meet with fellow fractionals in person.
Looking forward to hearing from (and learning from) you!
